T This is your pattern, print it out at 72 dpi, cut it out and try against a Julip rider just to check for size, make any adjustments now. If you want to make this for other riders you may need to make the arms longer of the body narrower.

Here are the things you will need, Felt, needles pind thread in the same colour as the felt- I am using a contrast colour so you can see what I am doing easily-scissors and a fastener- I have a tiny snap fastner but you may want to use velcro.-

I also have a rider to model my creation once it is finished.

Cut out the pattern, look carefully at it, there is a set of arrows and the word 'Fold' this is very important.

Fold your felt in half and pin the pattern to it lining up the piece that says'fold' with the fold in the felt. When you cut it out you want to cut through two layers.

Trim round the pattern to make it esier to get into the small angles of the pattern.

Trim close to the edge of the pattern.Once you have done this remove the pins and unfold the fabric piece. It should look like the piece of felt in the picture below.
